The Cartwright Wedding

BRIEF

The happy couple, Erin and Josh, required a venue for 250 guests as the groom has a large rugby family and for it to be dog friendly. They needed a venue that was suitable for their relaxed wedding celebration with the ability to offer a variety of food and drinks in different spaces. 

SOLUTION 

The Pumping House was chosen as the venue for the couple’s special day due to its unique location, interesting layout and able to fit in all 250 of the Cartwright guests. 

EXPERIENCE

A festoon lit ceremony took place in The Pumping House’s Engine Hall with a grand entrance for Erin and her bridal party of 16. 

The couple welcomed 170 guests to the ceremony and then celebrated further with an additional 80 guests in the evening, making full use of the beautifully themed rooms Botanical, Map, Type, Conservatory and Butterfly Room.

The many guests enjoyed a table sharing meal that turned into a happy sing-along – everyone was in great spirits and the atmosphere was electric.
