The Pumping House filming location is a distinctive Grade II listed building that has been beautifully restored to an unparalleled standard with many stunning original features. Set within the tranquility of the evergreen Sherwood Forest this filming location offers a unique outdoors backdrop amongst trees and forest leaves, ideal for woodland filming and photography projects. 

Originally known as Boughton Pumping House and opened in 1905, The Pumping House is conveniently located just a short distance from Sheffield, Nottingham and Lincoln and the A1, it is a perfect regional or national venue for Midlands-based companies’ film shoots. 

The Pumping House filming location is a really flexible venue, with the larger Engine Hall having a maximum capacity for 200 people and the Ollerton Room holding up to 100 people. Both rooms are flooded with natural daylight through stunning arched windows and have high ceilings for an airy, energising feel. The filming location also has a selection of break-out rooms and offers excellent facilities, including in-house projection, free WiFi, extensive wired Internet and power points and 85 complimentary car parking spaces.
