BRIEF

The soon to be married couple, Emily and Aaron required a wedding venue suitable in its flexibility to accommodate 65 day guests and 130 evening guests. They were looking for a canine friendly event space with an industrial feel.

SOLUTION

The Pumping House was chosen as the venue for the couple’s special day due to its beautifully crafted look and feel plus its pet friendly status. 

EXPERIENCE

Emily and Aaron chose a grey and copper palette to match with the venues existing styling. With the help of wedding suppliers Save the Date styling, Peonies and Plumes florist and some additional little quirky items they created their cool bohemian, romantic setting as planned. Emily wanted to break away from a traditional wedding bouquet and ceremony flowers, so worked closely with Danielle at Peonies and Plumes to produce an amazing copper backdrop frame for the Ceremony room and minimalistic bridesmaids hoops, complete with flower crowns for the whole bridal party.

The couple were keen to add their own finishing touches to their special day with things that meant something to them so added imported bottles of ale from Africa alongside pictures from their travels to the Map room for guests to enjoy. Rather than traditional favours, the couple opted to donate to the rescue centre where they got their guest of honour, Reggie (their dog), from. 

Food was a very important part of their day and they chose to have the three course Tapas menu which was tweaked slightly to accommodate vegan and vegetarian dietary requirements, this was followed by a trio of desserts to cater for everyone.

For their extra evening guests they hired a vintage photo booth to match their styling, the Rustic Crust provided pizza served from their converted Land Rover. The perfect end to a perfect day.
